Wander through charming local markets, sip warm mulled wine, sample festive treats, and discover the curious customs (and delicious sweets) that make a Czech Christmas unforgettable. Only available for a few weeks each year, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind seasonal experience. Important: The neighborhood markets we visit on this tour stay open until December 24. After that date, we’ll take you to two equally beautiful local markets within the historic city centre. The main Christmas market in the Old Town stays open until New Year’s.

Other. We'll meet you in the little Franz Kafka Square, right next to the Old Town Square of Prague. Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the house where the famous author was born.

Local Flavor at Old Town Square. We'll start our Holiday Tour at the most fairy-tale-like Christmas market that Prague has. We'll talk all things Christmas and of course taste a local holiday specialty!

Sightseeing at Prague Astronomical Clock. During our visit at the market in the Old Town Square, you'll get to see some of the most iconic historic landmarks of Prague, such as the Astronomical Clock, the Old Town Hall, or the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn.

Transportation at New Town, Prague. From the Old Town, we'll take a metro (tickets included) to the New Town of Prague, where we'll visit two lovely markets in local neighborhoods. These stay open until December 24. After that date, we’ll take you to two equally charming, centrally-located markets.

Local Flavor at New Town, Prague. At the next market, we'll enjoy the most authentic selection of handicrafts from true local artisans. Prague residents come here to get their holiday fare and Christmas-tree decorations.

Make sure to check the weather forecast and come prepared with an umbrella Comfort is key on our tours, so we recommend wearing shoes that can handle Prague's famous cobblestones and dressing for the weather In winter, temperatures can get quite low, be aware of that and put an extra sweater into your backpack At the markets, our guide will be making all the payments of the snacks and drinks that are part of this tour, including a tip on your behalf to the staff.
