What your day looks like

The tour starts at 9:00 AM at Pohořelec, by the statue of St. John of Nepomuk. After a short introduction, we continue to Strahov Monastery, where guests enjoy a 30-minute guided visit of the Strahov Library. Entrance is included, and the guide explains the history of the monastery, rare manuscripts, and the famous Theological and Philosophical Halls. Next, we take a guided walk through Nový Svět, a charming hidden street near Prague Castle, known for its peaceful atmosphere, colorful houses, and stories of former residents. We then pass through Malostranské náměstí, walking in the direction of Prague Castle while learning about the Lesser Town and its historical importance. The main highlight of the tour is a 45-minute guided visit of St. Vitus Cathedral, the spiritual heart of the Czech Republic. Entrance is included, and guests explore its Gothic interior, stained-glass windows, royal tombs, and the Chapel of St. Wenceslas. The experience continues with a 30-minute guided visit of St. George’s Basilica, the oldest Romanesque church within Prague Castle. Entrance is included, with commentary on its medieval architecture and early Czech history. We then explore Golden Lane during a 30-minute guided visit, with entrance included. Guests discover this iconic street of small historic houses and learn about life at Prague Castle through the centuries. Afterwards, we descend via the Old Castle Stairs, a scenic 30-minute downhill walk toward the river, offering beautiful views and a relaxed finish to the castle area. The tour continues with a short guided visit of Wallenstein Garden, a peaceful Baroque garden with fountains, sculptures, and peacocks. The experience ends at 1:00 PM at Malostranské náměstí, perfectly timed for lunch. The area offers a wide selection of cafés and traditional Czech restaurants where guests can enjoy a meal at their own pace. All entrance fees are included in the tour price. The tour is led by a licensed local Prague guide and is designed to combine Prague Castle’s key highlights with hidden gems at a comfortable, mostly downhill pace. The entire tour takes about 4 hours.
