Experience Prague’s magical Christmas season on your own terms: with a private guide, flexible timing, and no strangers in sight. You’ll be picked up at your hotel and whisked away into a winter wonderland of sparkling lights, traditional markets, and time-honored Czech holiday customs. Sip mulled wine, sample festive treats, and explore enchanting corners of the city most visitors miss. This is the most personal and immersive way to celebrate Christmas in Prague. Important: The neighborhood markets we visit on this tour stay open until December 24. After that date, we’ll take you to two equally beautiful local markets within the historic city centre. The main Christmas market in the Old Town stays open until New Year’s.

Prague
Transportation. We'll pick you up at your centrally located Prague hotel. If needed, we'll provide tickets for the public transport to get to the Old Town of Prague smoothly and hassle-free.

Local Flavor at Old Town Square. We'll start our Holiday Tour at the most fairy-tale-like Christmas market that Prague has. We'll talk all things Christmas and of course taste a local holiday specialty!

Sightseeing at Prague Astronomical Clock. During our visit at the market in the Old Town Square, you'll get to see some of the most iconic historic landmarks of Prague, such as the Astronomical Clock, the Old Town Hall, or the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn.

Transportation at New Town, Prague. From the Old Town, we'll take a metro (tickets included) to the New Town of Prague, where we'll visit two lovely markets in local neighborhoods. These stay open until December 24. After that date, we’ll take you to two equally charming, centrally-located markets.

Local Flavor at Wenceslas Square. At the next market, we'll enjoy the most authentic selection of handicrafts from true local artisans. Prague residents come here to get their holiday fare and Christmas-tree decorations.

What to Bring
Our tours run rain or shine. Make sure to check the weather forecast and come prepared with an umbrella Comfort is key on our tours, so we recommend wearing shoes that can handle Prague's famous cobblestones and dressing for the weather In winter, temperatures can get quite low, be aware of that and put an extra sweater into your backpack At the markets, our guide will be making all the payments of the snacks and drinks that are part of this tour, including a tip on your behalf to the staff.

This was a wonderful tour! Our tour guide, Misha, was from the Czech Republic and welcomed my private group of 12 warmly. Being after Christmas, some of the smaller Christmas Markets were already closed, but she took us through Old Town Square, Wenceslas and a locals market, while explaining which stalls were the most authentic. She offered up homemade Czech Christmas cookies and honey mead, explained Czech Christmas traditions and even taught us a Czech Christmas carol! Her enthusiasm and knowledge were appreciated by everyone in our group, including three children who found the tour fun and informative. HIGHLY recommend to add meaning and value to Christmas traditions!

This was a really GREAT tour! We were able to see 3 markets-2 smaller ones that we never would have found. Our guides were really terrific! We enjoyed some tasty treats along the way-wine and potato pancake and a sweet treat as well. I will recommend Prague City Adventures to everyone! 5 star treatment! I had a large group but we were broken up into two groups and it was so much better-everyone could hear the guides. IT was great to ride the train and tram with someone who knew where they were going. WONDERFUL!!
