What your day looks like
If you want to enjoy a combination of nature discovery and sporty adventure, this is the right tour for you. The Elbe River is calm and even small children can enjoy the tour. This special, combined boat-and-bike tour takes you through Europe’s deepest sandstone canyon that straddles the Czech-German border. The stream will take you to the magical landscape of the National park area. The Elbe valley is just behind the town Děčín dominated by the rock formations whose towers can be admired from the water. Each Elbe meander conjures up a new fabulous scenery. There are many opportunities to anchor and bathe in the Elbe, have a regional beer, take pictures of nature, and if you are lucky enough to see a black stork, falcons, or beavers playing ashore. On the Elbe, you cross the border to Saxony and even reach Bad Schandau, a spa town with typical folk architecture and a café atmosphere. Whatever tour length you choose we’ll meet you at your destination with comfortable bikes for the ride back to your starting destination where your round trip will end.

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
Your experience starts at Camp Děčín, where we will hand you in a canoe, paddle and a dry bag. A short briefing will take place on-site. The longest trip from our offer, with 22 km of a pleasant pace in 4.5 hours. When leaving Děčín, you will be amazed by the looks of the Shepherd's Wall with the Via Ferrata and with Děčín chateau on the other side, which rises above the river. The river will take you through a majestic sandstone canyon through the national parks of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland to the spa town of Bad Schandau in neighboring Germany. There we bring you your biker for a cycling trip back to Decin. It is up to you whether you choose to visit the center of the spa town with many restaurants and nice cafes or choose a direct route back to Děčín along the Elbe Cycle Route.
