You’ll arrive early and take in the vibrant waterfront and historic districts before heading off the beaten track. From there the bus carries you to the salt plains near Sint Willibrordus where graceful pink flamingos feed in shallow tints of brine beneath the Caribbean sky — perfect for dramatic photographs and nature-lovers alike. Next you’ll explore the Hato Caves: ancient limestone galleries that once sheltered indigenous Arawak communities and later served as a refuge for escaped slaves.
