A stroll around Dubrovnik’s city walls is a must-do for every visitor. For centuries, this beautifully preserved defensive wall system has protected churches, grand palaces, and a unique history. Six metres deep in some places, the walls are dotted with forts looking out to both sea and land. For two kilometers, you’ll enjoy stupendous views of the sparkling Adriatic and the skyline, which speaks of the splendour of a town that was once a wealthy republic for 450 years.

On this tour, you’ll learn some surprising facts about how and when the wall was built, about the golden age, natural catastrophes, and sieges in the Middle Ages, and the siege during the Homeland War in the 1990s. Some spice is added with exciting legends and amusing tales. Every era has its captivating stories to tell. Definitely one of the highlights is a climb to the highest point along the wall, which is the top of Minceta Tower, about 50 meters above sea level. Make sure you'll have enough storage space left on your camera.
