The Palace was built by one of the most interesting Roman emperors, the emperor Diocletian. Hence the name The Diocletian Palace. Walking the streets of the Palace in our small groups is one of the best ways we show respect to the residents and their history. Their ancestors inhabited the Palace area more than 1000 years ago creating an incredible blend of antique, medieval, and modern architecture combined with unique and vibrant living conditions and rituals locals still treasure.
