Private Game of Thrones Tour of Dubrovnik – King’s Landing Experience
What your day looks like
When HBO’s production team chose Dubrovnik to bring King’s Landing to life, they found a city whose real history was every bit as dramatic as the fantasy world itself. This private walking tour leads you through the Old Town’s narrow streets and imposing walls, visiting key filming locations from Game of Thrones. Stand at the Pile Gate, where King Joffrey faced the fury of the crowd, and explore the setting of Lovrijenac Fortress, famously used as the Red Keep during the Battle of Blackwater. Discover where Tyrion Lannister and Varys plotted in the shadows, and revisit scenes that left audiences stunned. Led by a licensed local guide, the tour blends behind-the-scenes filming insights with Dubrovnik’s own remarkable past. Using original A4 photo stills to compare scenes with real locations, you’ll see how this historic city transformed into the capital of Westeros — creating an experience that goes far beyond a standard filming locations tour.
