Krka National Park Tour with a local From Trogir

What your day looks like

Discover the magnificent waterfalls of Krka River in Skradinski Buk, the most relaxing part of the park, where you'll enjoy the breathtaking views while walking around the area, exploring the natural surroundings, and visiting the still-active, hundred-year-old watermills. We will meet in Split or Trogir and take a 1 hour and 30-minute drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall. Pass through the old water mill system as our guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this fantastic walk on the wooden pathway with little lakes and waterfalls everywhere. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia. After two h 30 mins at Skradinski Buk, we continue our journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to our second location inside the NP, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream, we can cool down during the hot summer days with a nice swim inside the Krka River. And last but not least, a special surprise for those who love some excellent local food and wine. Only a 10-minute drive from our swimming spot, we have a little village called Plastovo, known for a few beautiful local family foods and wine stops. Let`s go for some wine tasting (included), learn about its production and history, and, if you decide, taste some of the local specialties that the family offers. The summary would be: A total of 5hrs inside of the Krka NP at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, a boat ride, swimming inside of the Krka River, and an extra visit to a portion of local family food and wine tavern (agrotourism). A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. We finish our day with a drive back to Trogir and Split on the highway. Check out the itinerary!
