The Experience

What your day looks like

When deciding where to film HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, producers must have seen the wilderness of Northern Ireland as the obvious choice for a cold and noble Winterfell. But for the capital of Westeros, King’s Landing a city made for royals, they needed a one-of-a-kind paradise: sunny Mediterranean climate, crystal clear sea, and massive amounts of limestone. Our Game of Thrones walking tour will give you an exclusive look at this paradise from a director's point of view, comparing freeze-frames from the show with their real-life locations and explaining several scenes filmed in and around Dubrovnik's Old Town. Come to walk the streets of King's Landing, visit the Red Keep, see where King Joffrey celebrated his royal wedding, take your photo on the staircase from season five's “Walk of Shame” and much more! All of our guides are not only Game of Thrones enthusiasts but also licensed historical guides for Dubrovnik so we can assure you the highest level of professionalism and expertise on every tour.
