What your day looks like
A walking tour where you will discover what it was like living in Zagreb during the turbulent years of its recent history. Our first stop will be the World War II underground tunnels, representing the history of Croatia and Zagreb throughout the 20th century, including World War II, almost 50 years of communist Yugoslavia, and the fall of communism in Croatia through the Homeland War. The tour ends in the basement used by locals as a shelter during the air raids on Zagreb, where the details of the Homeland War are explained through a video presentation.

The journey, in full
Ban Jelačić Monument Join us in front of the horseman statue at Ban Jelačić (main) Square. The tour operates every day, from Monday to Sunday, at 3 pm. Booking is needed in advance. The guide will be waiting for you with an orange umbrella. Underground WW2 tunnel Let us take you on a visit to the WW2 underground tunnels that were used as shelters. There, you will learn more about life during the communist era in Zagreb. Basement We will take you to the authentic basement that was used as a shelter during the air raids in Zagreb in 1991 and 1995. There, you will be given a short presentation about the events during the turbulent years of the Homeland War.
