What your day looks like
Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They are what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you do not have to be 'advanced' to take it. It is designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you have learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving. The Fun Part: Your Choice. One reason you will love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from different types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, diving with underwater scooters, peak performance buoyancy and much more.

Your experience can vary depending on the arrangements you make with the diving Instructor. The most common itinerary is diving theory in the morning and then diving in the afternoons each day.

What to Bring
Biodegradable sunblock lotion Swimwear
Restrictions
Be medically fit to dive. Be able to swim 200 meters or snorkel 300 meters unaided. Be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes unaided. You must also be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization). Certification: OWD or higher Be in good health condition as requested in the PADI Medical Form
Meeting & Pickup
We will meet you at Coco Beach at 8:30 AM at the RIU Guanacaste Hotel to start the diving adventure. If not staying at RIU, you must provide your own transportation to meeting location.
