The Experience
What your day looks like
Transportation is provided and you will be picked up at your hotel and go to the property where you will start your horseback riding tour. During the 40 minutes drive to Londres where the tour starts your guide will give you a interesting briefing about the history of Quepos. Once you reach Londres you will set foot on a picturesque property that has bathrooms, stables, a corral and an open air waiting area. You will receive riding instruction, safety tips and practice time, before heading out to explore the rainforest. This Manuel Antonio tour allows you to uncover the exotic secrets that lie within this secondary rainforest. The maximum altitude of this area is 600 meters (1900 ft). You will ride through the mountains without reaching the mountain top. Your horse ride lasts about 2 and half hours (roundtrip) and it will be highlighted by amazing valley views, verdant vegetation and numerous wildlife species such as birds and reptiles. At the end of the trail there is a beautiful waterfall where you will be able to rest for about 30 minutes. You can lie on the grass or take a swim or even both! After the break, you will return riding the same trail. At the end of your horseback riding tour you will be served a delicious lunch made with local ingredients, and enjoy a little conversation before heading back to your hotel. This Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience. Children riding alone must be at least 8 years old. Maximum weight for riders is 100 kg (220 lbs).

The journey, in full
Londres is a rural town located to the north east from the main hotel area of Manuel Antonio. It is about a 40 minute drive to get there and our expert nature guide will teach you all about Quepos' history from the ancient Quepo tribe to the rise and fall of the United Fruit Company in the area. The ride will start at a typical Costa Rican farm with stables and farm animals. You'll start the ride after being briefed about safety protocols and time to practice of basics of horseback riding. During the tour, you will stop and have the chance to swim into a real jungle waterfall. Once back to the property, a delicious Costa Rican lunch will be served.
