The Experience

What your day looks like

This tour allows you to visit both the Arenal Hanging Bridges and the La Fortuna Waterfall. The activity begins with a visit to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a 3-kilometer (2-mile) trail through natural surroundings that includes 16 bridges, 6 of which are hanging bridges reaching up to 55 meters (180 feet) in height. Accompanied by a naturalist guide, participants will learn about the biodiversity of the rainforest and observe the wildlife that inhabits different levels of the ecosystem, all with the Arenal Volcano as a backdrop. The next stop is La Fortuna Waterfall, reached via a trail of approximately 500 steps that leads into a lush tropical forest. At the end of the descent lies an impressive 70-meter (230-foot) waterfall, whose waters flow into a natural pool perfect for those who wish to take a refreshing swim surrounded by nature. The tour concludes with a farm-to-table lunch at La Finquita Restaurant, where dishes are prepared with fresh local ingredients from the property, highlighting the traditional flavors of Costa Rican cuisine—a perfect blend of nature and gastronomy to complete the experience.

Absolutely an excellent tour with a marvellous guide. We saw EVERYTHING - birds including toucans, monkeys, bats, snakes, raccoons and more. The waterfall was beautiful and swimming in it a highlight. Lunch was very good too. We highly recommend.
