What your day looks like
This 600m(1970 ft.) trail through the ecological sanctuary is apt for thewhole family. Youwill visit a butterfly garden, botanical garden, andawetland,whichare the habitats of more than600 species of plants andanimals, including sloths, morpho butterflies, toucans, frogs, and caimans.

The journey, in full
Thissmall ecological reserve regenerated naturally thanks to the efforts of a group of people concerned about environmental conversation and education for children and adults. This wonderful project has greatly contributed to the sustainable tourist development of La Fortuna. We will take a circuit path through a secondary forest in regeneration. The trail is suitable for anyone. Along the way, we will discover a botanical garden with more than 600 species of plants, a lot of butterfly up to 40 species around its gardens, areas designated to the natural reproduction of frogs, medicinal plant gardens, and a wetland declared as a site of national importance for the nesting and observation of aquatic birds. In addition to these sites, the entire trail provides excellent observation points to see wildlife in rejuvenation; frogs, butterflies, snakes, turtles, alligators, sloths, basilisk lizards, agoutis, and birds are normally seen in this place. We will end the tour with a quick visit to the Eco Center souvenir shop where we will have a delicious snack of fresh fruit.
