What travelers are saying
We had a great time. The guides knew just the right places to find sloths and were very helpful with getting the best pictures
Guided were extremely knowledgeable and we saw a few sloths despite it raining hard. One was so active and having the binoculars was great! They really know what they are doing to give guests a great experience :)
We highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide and naturalist, Royvin, was amazing. This is not the same as the “sloth park” tours, which we do NOT recommend. In this tour you are in search of and witnessing sloths in the wild, in their natural environment, where they naturally are solitary creatures. We saw a male sloth in his “territory” and then a female with her baby some distance away! Later on the tour before we stopped for a snack, we saw howler monkeys and another sloth. It was incredible watching these creatures eat and balance themselves on their three “toes” from the branches.
The sloth tour exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to spot sloths, monkeys, toucans and many other animals local to Costa Rica. He had a tri pod and scope to view the animals in the trees and made the scope available to take great photos on our cell phone cameras. The tour was followed by a great breakfast. A great time was had by all and I highly recommend this tour.
