The National Aviary of Colombia is a conservationist entity that seeks, through a modern and representative exhibition of avifauna in natural environments, to promote knowledge about Colombian diversity, its sustainable use, and responsible management. The largest aviary in the Americas is located 14.5 km from Cartagena-Barú, a tourist attraction that promotes the care of nature and the importance of environmental sustainability. The National Aviary of Colombia has 138 species of birds and approximately 1,800 specimens, among them: the harpy eagle, the Caribbean toucan, pink flamingos, and the crowned crane, among others. In addition, it has three ecosystem environments (tropical rainforest, coastal, and desert) that support its wide variety of permanent exhibits. During the tour, you will find three ecosystems: tropical rainforest, coastal zone, and desert.
