Host Bio: Adriana is from a small city in Pereira, located in the heart of the coffee region of Colombia. She loves to travel, cook, and meet new people. Ever since she was very young, Adriana was fond of cooking with her family. She graduated as an industrial engineer and then owned a pastry catering business for about five years. After that, she traveled through several countries and lived abroad where she worked as a Pastry Chef in renowned French restaurants in New York and Toronto. And then after she returned back home to Colombia, Adriana was passionate about showcasing her culture and cuisine to travelers. She rescues ancestral cooking techniques and cooks traditional Colombian dishes from different regions around the country, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Adriana believes that Colombia is so much more than coffee and bandeja paisa (a popular Colombian meal) and that is exactly what she wants to share through this experience - behind each recipe, there is a story about her ancestors and how she learned to cook the dish.
