Medellin Horse-Back Ride Around Cattle Ranch

What your day looks like

Leaving from your hotel and after a 2-hour scenic drive southwest of Medellín, we arrive at a small cattle ranch where the horse ride begins. We will have some great coffee and enjoy the scenery before the ride. Safety briefing and horse-back riding tips will also take place before getting on the horses. We try will as much as we can to pair you with the right horse for your experience level. We use well-fed and well-treated light gaited working horses, instead of fancy Paso-finos which are not safe nor reliable for the cattle ranch’s terrain. We will be riding for about 2 hours through a big ranch that neighbors the smaller farm where the ride starts and ends. The tiered landscape of the steep mountains of Antioquia including Cerro Tusa and Cerro Bravo plus the meanders of the Cauca River will be the highlights of these Andean scenery experiences. Your English-speaking guide will be with you at all times including the horse ride where one or two experienced cowboys will also come along.
