After fueling up with a delicious breakfast, you'll set out on a thrilling journey that will take you deep into the heart of Colombia's Amazon rainforest. Your day begins with a scenic boat ride along the Guayabero River, followed by a thrilling ride in a rugged 4X4 vehicle to the entrance of Caño Cristales. From there, your unforgettable trekking adventure begins, as you traverse the breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders that await. Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to visit some of Caño Cristales' most iconic attractions, including Los Hoyos, Los Pianos, the Piscina del Turista, Los Cuarzos, and the Paso de la Danta, among others. Together, you'll journey towards the Inderena port, where a boat awaits to transport you on a 30-minute ride along the Guayabero River to the mouth of the Losada River. During this scenic boat ride, lasting approximately half an hour, keep your eyes peeled for the majestic pink dolphins, also known as freshwater dolphins, that inhabit these waters. As you glide along the river, you'll be surrounded by the rich biodiversity of the Macarena mountain range, with opportunities to spot various bird species, turtles, crocodiles, and other fascinating wildlife. Before noon, you'll return to La Macarena, where your journey concludes.
