The journey, in full
At the appointed time in the morning around 08:30, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and then accompany you to take a taxi or subway to the Tiananmen Square. Let’s take a leisurely stroll on Tiananmen Square while admiring the brilliant landmark buildings around. Note: To pass through the security check of the Tiananmen Square quickly, especially during holidays, we suggest you leave your bag in the car and carry only your passport and bottled water to go through the no-bag passage. Next, let’s explore the Forbidden City/Palace Museum, the largest and most intact imperial palace complex that was home to 24 emperors from 1368 to 1911 AD. With your guide, visit the most essential palaces on the central axis and chambers on the two wings among its 9,999 rooms. After the tour ends, your tour guide will escort you back to your hotel by public transport.
