After meeting your tour guide, you'll follow them through a special passage reserved for tour groups (May be closed by the government due to special events). This entrance not only saves time but also provides a more streamlined experience. As you step into Tian'anmen Square, prepare to be awed by the vastness and the historical weight of the surroundings: The Great Hall of the People, The National Museum of China, The Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, The Monument to the People's Heroes. Next, walk through Tian'anmen Square, Tian'anmen Gate, and enter the Forbidden City from the Meridian Gate(South Gate). As the largest and the best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world, the Forbidden City was listed as a UNESCO site. Follow your tour guide to explore the most important buildings along the middle axis of the palace, you will also visit one or two courtyards in the west chamber.
