What your day looks like

Take in the highlights of two of China’s great capitals: Beijing and Xian. Make good use of your limited time in China,.During this 2-day private tour, you will be able to walk on the Great Wall at Mutianyu, Discover the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square, and admire the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. You will also experience a bullet train ride! Your tour includes transport, a private tour guide, entrance fees, cable car at the Great Wall, lunches and train ticket, but excludes accommodation. Your tour will end in Xi'an.

Day 1

Beijing

Archaeological Exploration at Mutianyu. Welcome to this trip :) Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, then begin to head over to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Mutianyu Great Wall: Once arrive at the The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll enjoy a peaceful experience and take time to marvel at this wondrous structure and the surrounding hillsides that look north toward Mongolia. Accompanied by your tour guide, hike up and down at different watch towers, enjoy the fun cable car round trip or ski lift up and toboggan at the Wall. The Great Wall at Mutianyu was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) on the remnants of a Wall originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577). Reconstruction took place under the supervision of Xu Da, one of the founding generals of the Ming Dynasty, who was responsible for building a Wall from Shanhaiguan in the east to as far as Mutianyu.

Sightseeing at Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square: Stop at a local restaurant in the Huairou district, famous for their chestnuts, mushrooms, and trout. Here, you will have various choices of countryside style of cuisine as your lunch. Head back to Beijing City to explore Tian'anmen Square, home to the National Museum of China, and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes.

Sightseeing at Forbidden City. Forbidden City: Pass through the south gate to the magnificent 250-acre complex of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Stroll around the halls and courtyards with your tour guide, feel free to ask any questions you have during the tour. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel at the end of the tour.

Day 2

Beijing

Transfer: Your driver will pick you up in your Beijing Hotel's lobby and you will be transferred to Beijing West Train Station for a 5 hour bullet train ride to Xi'an.

Xi'an

Local Flavor at Terracotta Army. The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: Upon arrival, your tour guide will pick you up at the exit of the Arrival Hall with your name sign. You will head directly to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum which is known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World”. Your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories on the way, feel free to ask questions if you have any. Before arriving at the museum, you will enjoy lunch. The museum is divided into three sections: No.1 Pit, No.2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit. The original site was found by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974 and now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xi'an. Stroll around the museum and get rich information from your tour guide.
