Host Bio: Patty and her husband Enrique live in a gorgeous, sprawling ranch-style home near Lampa, outside of Santiago in the countryside. Patty's property boasts fruit and nut trees of every variety (from mandarin to fig, pomegranate to walnut) and a huge vegetable and herb garden. You will be welcomed with open arms and a bottle of Carménere into a house that is both modern and filled with old-world charm. The tall ceilings, gilded paintings, and Victorian furniture are magnificent, but the woodstove, inviting earth-tones, and greenery give the place a feeling of warmth alongside luxury. The kitchen is large and modern, with an island that allows everyone to congregate easily and cook together. The shelves are heaped with the produce collected from Patty’s garden. Patty’s husband has spent much of his professional life traveling for work, as is evident by the display of art pieces from all over the world, from a traditional Austrian Cuckoo clock to stone statues from China. Patty lived in Canada for 20 years and works as a systems analyst.
