What your day looks like
Come on our Aquitania & Santa Rita Wine Tour to join us for a tasteful day out and visit the boutique vineyard Aquitania, where Chile’s famous Carménère wine was (re-) discovered. During the afternoon, we visit the ancient cellars of the traditional Santa Rita vineyard (dating back to 1880). Take a seat in the garden, enjoy your wine, the wonderful flower garden, and marvelous views. Both vineyards are located at the foot of the majestic Andes in the Maipo Alto area. While sipping your wine at Aquitania, you will be served an accompanying cheese & Jamon Serrano platter. If you have a chance, get a bottle of the amazing Sol de Sol Chardonnay! You will be picked up at 10.00 and returned by 17.00 to your hotel. Drive Time is about 35 minutes from Providencia. About Chilean wine: In the last 20 years, Chile has explored areas outside of the traditional Maipo Valley and has moved vineyards to cooler micro-climates like Casablanca and Colchagua. This led to new productions outside of the traditional Cabernet Sauvignon – like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and extraordinary blends like the Chardonnoir (Bodegas RE).
