The Experience

What your day looks like

Our three-stop tour features the Cayman Islands' renowned starfish snorkeling experience, ideal for small groups, hotel and cruise ship passengers, and families with young children. The tour encompasses the stunning Stingray City sandbar stop, Coral Garden, and either the Starfish snorkel or Starfish Point. The tour lasts roughly 3.5 hours and includes snorkeling equipment and complimentary bus transportation from the port terminal and Seven Mile Beach resorts and condos. Upon joining our tour, you will be transported to Stingray City aboard one of our vessels from the Safe Haven Marina. At Stingray City, you will see magnificent huge southern rays on a small sandbar, where experienced guides will instruct you on how to feed and even kiss these animals. You will thereafter go from Stingray City to Coral Garden, where the water depth ranges from 8 to 10 feet. Coral Garden offers snorkel equipment and life vests for the exploration of several fish species and coral structures. Coral Garden is ideal for nourishing diverse fish species and photographing the Cayman Islands' exquisite coral reefs and vibrant aquatic life. From Coral Garden, you will advance to Starfish Snorkel Point. The boat crew will identify the optimal site for a close encounter with starfish, as they are mobile organisms. This tour will appeal to children of all ages.

If they ask you to move to another group time, don’t take it! We were scheduled to attend the 12 pm excursion and received a call the night before that they didn’t have enough people to fill the time and our options were to go on the 9 am tour or cancel. We took the 9 am cruise and it became very apparent that they combined 2 tours into 1. The boat was at max capacity with over 70 people, and clearly didn’t hold that many. Also, the details say that drinks are provided and they are….however, in a cooler that ran out in the first hour. We spent 3+ hours in 110 degree heat with no water and no shade (since there is little shade on the boat and way too crowded to move around). The snorkeling was so-so, the stingray experience was probably the highlight, and we spent more time trying to find a place to anchor than we did with the starfish. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this company. I would try others.
