The Experience

What your day looks like

Our tour of the East side of the Island begins with a drive through George Town, the Island’s capital and major financial center. We continue along through the coastal residential district of South Sound with its fabulous homes to arrive at Pedro St. James, Pedro Castle [as it is affectionately named] is a refurbished plantation home built in 1780, which boasts a multimedia theatre presentation that explains the history of the Island and the house itself. It is the birthplace of democracy and a national historic site and after Cayman Blue Iguana. The tour continues to Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. The tour continues at the Botanic Park to view the colorful Caymanian flora. The now endangered Cayman parrots are a part of the variety of native and migratory aquatic birds and animals you will find while strolling the nature walk and natural wetland. While you are there don’t forget to see one of the main features of the park which is the endangered Cayman Blue Iguana. While traveling through the district of East End, stop at the blowholes and take memorable photos and enjoy the scene. Continuing through the district of North Side, our last stop will be at Rum Point in the area where the Stingrays are located.

Meeting & Pickup

Please, be advised that guests on ships anchoring in Grand Cayman must take a small boat called a tender to shore. It is very important that you are in line early for the tenders to shore if you want to make it to the tour before it departs. It can take approximately 60 minutes to wait for tenders and get ashore. Once you arrive at the Royal Watler Terminal and exit through security, you should continue walking straight, and you will see a tent with a white canopy, hanging above a sign with the word “CAYTOURS” this is where our dispatch team will be. The tour departs from the dispatch booth at the Royal Terminal. Guests tendering to the North and South Terminal: You must make your way over to the Royal Watler Terminal (you can ask the port security for directions), where you will be met by Cay Tours personnel holding a sign with the word “CAYTOURS” for easy identification. Guests tendering at the Spotts dock, due to rough sea conditions at the Royal, North & South terminals, must remain in the same place, you will be met by Cay Tours personnel holding a sign with the word “CAYTOURS” for easy identification. The tour departs from the Spotts Dock. Staying at a hotel or Airbnb? We pick up from all hotels and accommodations on Seven Mile Beach. Please make sure to inform us of your location in advance, so that we can make proper arrangements and ensure a timely pick up.
