Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

This exciting, nature-filled day begins with you being met in your hotel lobby by your tour guide and escorted to the bus. Once all guests are on board you will head out of the city via the Lions Gate Bridge. Beautiful harbor and bay views beckon as the sun climbs over the mountains to the east. Then it’s up to the hill for a short ride before beginning your journey on the famous Sea to Sky corridor, voted one of the top 10 most scenic drives in the world. Drive through Squamish, the Outdoor Capital of Canada, to see and feel nature’s power at Shannon Falls, just a short trip down the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Shannon Falls is the 3rd highest waterfall in the province at just under 335 m (1,100 ft). Enjoy a short walk to the base for some great photos of nature’s erosive art or just watch the power and beauty of the cascading waters. Next, stop at the Sea to Sky Gondola for a birds-eye-view of the surrounding mountain ranges and the turquoise waters of Howe sound. You can even see Shannon Falls from above! You will have time to explore the hiking trails, grab a bite to eat or test your fears on the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. From here it is a slow bus drive to 610 m (2,000 ft) above sea-level and the Whistler Valley. Skiing, biking, hiking, volcanoes, glaciers, high alpine lakes and forests, world-class restaurants and amenities; these are what draw people here. Enjoy three hours in the village on your own. Grab a bite to eat and explore this mountain ski village. Feel free to ask us to drop you off anywhere in the downtown or Richmond areas and we are happy to oblige – even the airport! With a little advance notice, we can bring your luggage along too, and drop both you and your luggage off at the airport when your tour is finished.

This was a fantastic action-packed day trip. We were able to go up two mountains on a gondola ride, shop, see waterfalls and other scenic views. The tour guide Byron Nelson was fantastic, educational and extremely knowledgeable about the area! The walk across the suspension bridge was a bit scary but glad we did it.

For the most part the tour was very nice....great scenery, beautiful mountains and lakes.....awesome gondola ride. But, the trip to Whistler was long and sometimes boring. When arriving at Whister I was quite dissappointed. I felt like I was at a big shopping mall or Disney. Most of my group felt that way as well. I would recommend the Shannon Falls & Gondola ride, but not Whistler ;-/
