The Experience

What your day looks like

This is an extended version of the popular Victoria Panorama Seaplane Tour, designed for those who want to see more of Vancouver Island's beauty in one flight. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Victoria, BC, from the sky with Harbour Air’s Extended Panorama Tour. Departing from Victoria Harbour, this thrilling seaplane adventure offers an unforgettable way to explore the city and its spectacular surroundings. Whether you're a nature lover, aviation enthusiast, or simply looking for a one-of-a-kind view, this tour delivers a stunning aerial perspective that will leave you in awe. Step aboard one of Harbour Air’s iconic seaplanes and enjoy an exhilarating takeoff from the lively waters of Victoria Harbour, with the city’s charming skyline unfolding beneath you. As you soar above downtown Victoria, the shimmering Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the towering Olympic Mountains, you’ll be captivated by the scale and natural beauty of the region. The dramatic spray during takeoff and landing adds to the thrill of the adventure, offering a uniquely West Coast experience. From there, the flight ventures farther afield. You'll glide north over the Saanich Peninsula toward Sidney, where the landscape transitions into a striking blend of coastal and rural beauty. Below you, see the patchwork of rolling farmland, winding country roads, and dense forest canopies that define this part of Vancouver Island. You’ll pass over Mount Douglas, a prominent forested peak known for its hiking trails and panoramic views, and spot the tranquil waters of Elk Lake, framed by parkland and woodlands. To the west, you’ll follow the curves of the Saanich Inlet, where deep green forests meet calm, mirror-like waters—often reflecting the surrounding ridgelines and sky in picture-perfect symmetry. One of the most dramatic features of the flight is Finlayson Arm, a fjord-like channel cutting deep into the coastal mountain landscape. Its steep, forested slopes and winding shape create a breathtaking aerial view that few ever get to witness.  On the return leg, your seaplane follows a unique, low-level coastal route, descending gently along the shoreline or over the interior, offering extended time in the air. You’ll pass over the Esquimalt Dock Yards, a historic and active naval shipyard, before circling back for a scenic approach into Victoria Harbour—wrapping up your journey with unforgettable final views of the city and sea.   Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’re a local rediscovering your own backyard, the Victoria: Extended Panorama Scenic Seaplane Tour offers a truly elevated experience of one of Canada’s most beautiful coastal regions.
