When it was opened by Sir Adam Beck on Dec. 28, 1921, the Queenston-Chippawa Development (as it was known between 1922 and 1950) was the largest hydroelectric power station in the world. At the peak of construction, more than 10,000 people worked on the project. Queen Elizabeth Parks Queen Victoria Park is a significant park located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, offering stunning views of both the Canadian and American Falls. Brock's Monument National Historic Site Brock's Monument National Historic Site, located in Queenston, Ontario, is a poignant tribute to Major General Sir Isaac Brock, a hero of the War of 1812. This historic site commemorates Brock's leadership and sacrifice during the Battle of Queenston Heights, a pivotal conflict in Canadian history.  The centerpiece of the site is the impressive Brock's Monument, a 56-meter-tall column that stands on the escarpment overlooking the Niagara River.
