Bridge, Lighthouses & Treats Tour
What your day looks like
Enjoy this new half-day tour along PEI’s south shore. Departing from the Charlottetown waterfront, you will see old Charlottetown and hear about its important role in the founding of Canada. From the city, we head west quickly changing from the urban landscape to the farmlands and tidy rural homes on our way to Victoria-by-the-Sea. This quaint artisan village holds many treasures, from a pretty lighthouse to craft shops, the wharf, and a chocolate shop. Leaving Victoria, you will see more of PEI’s red sandstone shore and the Confederation Bridge comes into view. This record-setting structure is an engineering marvel. We stop at the foot of the bridge for an up-close look and another lighthouse. Our next stop is Matos Winery with its hillside vineyard tasting room. Sample three of their offerings. Non-drinkers will receive a small gift from your guide. Before you return to Charlottetown, we stop at Cows Factory for a self-guided tour. Cows are famous for its award-winning ice cream, cheese, and themed parody clothing. Enjoy an ice cream or sorbet on us. The final leg of this tour is in Charlottetown, through pretty neighborhoods, Victoria Park, and another view of the historic downtown and we leave you with a Cow’s Ice Cream coupon to enjoy at your leisure.
