Aurora Cozy Cabin Aurora Viewing
What your day looks like
Aurora viewing takes place in a warm, cozy cabin located 15 minutes from Yellowknife. Yellowknife is known as the Aurora Capital of the World, and we boast approximately 240 aurora-viewing nights each year. Bucket List Tour invites you to join the Cozy Cabin Aurora Tour for an evening of aurora hunting, complete with a midnight lunch of fresh-baked bannock and fish chowder. We stay cozy throughout the tour as we watch the aurora from the comfort of the cabin in the middle of the northern wilderness. The Cozy Cabin is situated on 2 acres, offering plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the dancing aurora. We pick up guests from all hotels and select B&Bs listed on our tour checkout form (please refer to the listed options when booking). Pickup time depends on your location; please be in your hotel lobby at the time indicated on the checkout form and allow 15 minutes for our arrival. We travel in a luxury coach shuttle bus to the Cozy Cabin. Stories are shared along the way, and northern clothing (furs and parkas) is available for photos and learning. An evening lunch of hot baked bannock served with fish chowder is provided. We also offer a large selection of teas and hot chocolate. (The soup is cream-based, and with advance request the chowder may be altered for vegetarian guests.) The tour is scheduled to end by 1:30, however, if the aurora is still giving us a good show, we may ask the group if they would like to stay longer. Guests are then dropped off at their hotels and B&Bs. Our tour groups are small and intimate, with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 guests. Your guide is very knowledgeable and shares stories throughout the night. We do our best to answer all your questions about Yellowknife and the region. We stay warm and cozy all night while hunting the aurora from the comfort of the Cozy Cabin. We take photos with a camera phone and send them to your social media the evening of the tour at no extra charge. Upon request, professional photographers may be booked to visit the cabin and can be arranged at the time of booking. We look forward to welcoming you to the Cozy Cabin!

What travelers are saying
Friendly, informative. They helped us with photos and provided tripods which surprisingly made a huge difference in the quality of our photos. The soup and bread she made were tasty.
