Day 1
Siem Reap
Upon arrival Siem Reap International Airport, our airport representative will meet you at the entrance of the arrival terminal and will be holding a signboard with your name(s) on it will be waiting. For a hassle-free experience, our representative will collect your passport, visa fee (if not already paid), and one passport photo for the visa before leading you to the baggage claim to collect your luggage while waiting for your passport to be stamped and returned. Our representative will then accompany you to meet your guide who will be waiting for you with a vehicle outside the terminal. Transfer with your guide to the hotel.

Day 2

Sightseeing at Angkor Wat. 04:45 wake up early and transfer by private vehicle to the West Gate of Angkor Wat from where the sunrise can be best observed. Enter the temple complex. Angkor Wat (early 12th century) is surrounded by a 190-meter-wide moat 1.5 kilometers by 1.3 kilometers and is claimed to be the largest religious building in the world. It is certainly one of the wonders of the ancient world. You will be amazed by the sheer size of the temple, which took 30 years to construct & used the labors of up to 300,000 workers. Angkor Wat was built as the earthly representation of the universe with its' central tower symbolizing Mt Meru which, Hindus believe, is at the center of the Universe.

Sightseeing at Banteay Kdei. 08:30 drive to visit Banteay Kdei built between the 12th and 13th centuries. The ruined condition of the temple in no way detracts from the grandeur of this walled temple. Banteay means fortified monastery and refers to the double wall surrounding it.

Sightseeing at Ta Prohm. Continue to Ta Prohm, this beautiful temple, built in 1186 as a Buddhist temple dedicated to the mother of Jayavarman VII, is one of Angkor’s jewels and is overgrown with fig trees, giving a haunting yet exotic atmosphere. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, creating a ‘forgotten city’ feeling.

Sightseeing at Ta Keo. Pause at Ta Keo, which would have been the finest temples in Angkor had it been completed. A short distance further is the twin temples of Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon.

Sightseeing at Angkor Thom. 13:00 drive to Angkor Thom, not a temple, but an entire walled city of 9 sq km and served as the ancient royal Capital of the Khmer Empire from approx. 1181. With a probable population of 1 million, it was far bigger and grander than any city in Europe at the time. Your guide will take you to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. The center piece of Jayavarman VII's Capital is the Bayon temple and, as you approach, you will notice the 216 giant, enigmatic, smiling faces looking into every direction.

Sightseeing at Beng Mealea Temple. 08:00 depart on a pleasant drive of about 1.5 hours through the enticing Cambodian countryside to Beng Mealea, a sprawling jungle temple constructed in a distinctly Angkor Wat style by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. It preceded and may have served as a prototype for Angkor Wat. Contrary to Angkor, few carvings or bas-reliefs are evident. Today the temple is largely overrun by vegetation and the stone walls are crumbling which adds to its charm in a unique way. Accessibility has improved as elevated walkways have been set up throughout most of the temple, although to see all corners does require a sense of adventure as you will need to climb over stone blocks or walk through narrow passageways

Sightseeing at Banteay Srei. Then head to the elegant Banteay Srei temple. This red sand-stone temple is one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings which have been preserved remarkably well. They provide an excellent insight into the Angkor civilization and their beliefs. It was built in the 10th century and was dedicated to the Hindu god - Shiva. (It is advisable to wear sturdy, walking shoes with a decent grip)

Boating at Tonlé Sap Lake. 08:30 start your day by a transfer to Chhong Kneas, a trading port of agricultural products on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Embark on a private local boat and set out on a Tonle Sap Lake adventure to discover the floating villages and some unique wildlife along the way. Enjoy a selection of soft drinks or Beers during the cruise. Find out how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, and police stations, among other structures and observe their daily lives.

Sightseeing. Depart on a 1hr drive to Udong, the capital of Cambodia between 1618 and 1866 and home to impressive Khmer architecture reflecting the glory days of Cambodia. Explore the ruins sprinkled across two ridges. The smaller of the two ridges has two ruined buildings, several stupas and the Ta San Mosque, still used by the Jahed sect of Cambodia’s Cham Muslims. Explore the surrounding smaller pagodas, stupas and Buddha statues. Climb the stairway to the top and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Sightseeing. Drive to the village to of Kampong Tralach in Kampong Chhnang Province, home to an ancient pagoda. Observe the remarkably well-preserved wall paintings at Wat Kampong Tralach Leu depicting scenes of rural life over a century ago. Return to your hotel.
