The journey, in full
Rios highest peak, Pico da Tijuca (1022m 3353ft) is located in the middle of the Tijuca Forest and overlooks most of the city. Before the hike, we will stop by the entrance of the national park to visit a gigantic and beautiful waterfall. The track starts at the idyllic Bom Retiro and lasts no more than one and a half hours. From there, we have a wonderful view of most of the Tijuca Forests, as well as the Maracan and Engenho stadiums, Guanabara Bay.
