What your day looks like
City Tour – Christ Statue + Tijuca Forest + Historic Downtown + Maracana Stadium Rio City Tour full day you will visit the best of Rio, starting with the famous Christ the Redeemer monument and the main attractions of the city! After visiting Corcovado and the Christ Statue (ticket included), unmissable attractions, we will continue to the next stop. Lage Park at the base of Corcovado Mountain, a park covered with Tropical Rainforest inside the Tijuca National Park, with a beautiful, imponent old mansion, and many century-old palm trees. After that, lunch stop (not included), is time to visit the Maracana Stadium from outside. The next stop is in Rio’s Historic Downtown, where we can tell five centuries of history, passing through several buildings and churches from the imperial period, to the revitalized area of Olympic Boulevard. At the final of the tour you can be dropped off in SugarLoaf Mountain to enjoy the sunset, or to be dropped off back at your hotel.

Pickup times vary by location (from 7am / to 8am) and will be shared a few days before via WhatsApp or email. Pickups outside these areas (South Zone of Rio) will have a meeting point option. Bnb's or accommodations will have a nearby hotel as a meeting point.

Not a very satisfying experience. They picked up guests at the hotels, but there were about10 stops on the tour for about 15 people, so that took quite a bit of time. Our tour guide was really the main problem. Mostly what he did was take us to the destinations and tell us what time to meet back at the bus. I asked him a question when we were in a park what kind of fruit the trees were dropping all over the ground and he said, "I recognize it but I don't remember the name", and didn't even try to look it up on his phone. When we left the park, I saw him reach into a popcorn cart and grab some with his hand and start eating it. When we went to a buffet for lunch, he disappeared. We went to a cute neighborhood (Santa Teresa) with lots of little cafes and art and we could barely keep up with him. He DID give some information about the sites as we went along, but it just didn't make up for the general indifference. However, the driver was very personable and funny and did a great job. Certainly not a wasted day but it could have been more enjoyable.

Our tour guide, Rodrigo, was incredible and we were able to move through the various stops at our own pace. He carried my bag the whole day and took candid photos that he sent to us later. He even assisted with scheduling our paragliding experience. Truly grateful!
