The journey, in full
With an archipelago of more than 300 islands and countless beaches, the town of Angra lies in the heart of this paradise, some 130 km south of Rio. A spectacular view: winds over mountainous terrain covered in lush Atlantic rain forest. Graceful coves and sandy beaches, little islands and crystal clear water make the journey a memorable occasion. The town of Angra dos Reis has been continuously settled since the early 1500s. There are many lovely old buildings from the colonial past when the town was a great port and agricultural center. A schooner waits at the dock to take visitors on a cruise of those many islands, stopping for a swim in the enticing turquoise blue waters. Then a delicious lunch of hot and cold self-service buffet will be served.

What travelers are saying
this was the worse trip ever!!! save your money!!! no where on the advertising for this trip does it mention that this is a BUS TRIP - AND A LONG ONE AT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we traveled for over 2 1/2 hours to the marina to get the boat (NO WHERE DOES IT MENTION THAT) The boat ride was ok - nothing special - 2 times they stopped and we could jump off the boat and swim - then one time we stopped at a little - VERY LITTLE - beach - and then the last place had a beach - which was unusable - and it's there that we ate - nice meal - not too bad - then we TRAVELED ANOTHER 2 1/2 HOURS to get back to our hotels - but of course we hit traffic - so it was longer total amount of time for this trip was 14 hours -- so many people so angry we all felt the same way - when you advertise a 12 hour trip you assume you will be sailing for a while - not traveling for over 7 hours on a bus!!! if i could give this trip 0 stars i would
