Private Combo: Diving and/or Snorkeling + South-side Island Tour
What your day looks like
The perfect trip for those who want to get the most out of their time on Bonaire, led by a knowledgeable dive instructor & certified cave and island guide. This combination of showing you the most beautiful parts of Bonaire both on land as well as beneath the surface with drinks and snacks along the way and optionally all gear provided is unique to the island. The tour's attractions are just our suggested route but are fully customizable if you have specific requests since this is a private excursion.
The experience, in brief
- The history of Bonaire wasn't always pretty & you will learn about the Slave huts
- The iconic scenery of the pink salt lakes is a beautiful sight to see
- This is a dive to a depth of 30m/90feet so only for divers with a fitting certification
- One of the only 4 spots on the planet where the flamingos come to nest
- Choose between visiting a cave with Indian inscriptions or going to a water cave
The journey, in full
Our first dive (only a suggestion) is at the famous shipwreck of the hilma hooker. This is a dive to a depth of 30m/90 feet so only for divers with a fitting certification. If there are snorkelers joining the excursion they will be able to find some shallow reefs perfect for snorkeling very close to the dive site as well. The iconic scenery of the pink salt lakes is a beautiful sight to see. This is also an option for a great dive. Or we can just snorkel for a little bit since there are always plenty of turtles to be found in the shallows across the street from the pink salt lakes At the windsurfer's place of Bonaire, here we will have lunch (not included) at the beach bar with a beautiful view of this shallow bay and windsurfers performing their tricks. We will be passing by the mangroves where you will be able to spot many flamingos and wild donkeys along the way. At Lac Cay, the other side of windsurfers bay, we will visit one of the most peaceful beaches on the island right in front of the mangrove channel. Here we will likely do our second dive by letting the current pull us out to the reef on the wild east coast so we can spot some of the bigger marine life around Bonaire You'll have the option to choose between visiting a cave with Indian inscriptions or going to a water cave where we can snorkel through. If the time allows it, both are possible of course
