Your day, step by step

Welcome to Bolivia! Departure to the airport of La Paz. Flight from La Paz to Rurrenabaque (flight available only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
La Paz
Boating. Madidi National Park: Welcome and a 3-hour boat trip with spectacular views of the Beni and Tuichi rivers to enter Madidi National Park. Visit Villa Alcira, an original community to discover their way of life and experience the pressing of the sugar cane.
El Alto
Eco Tour at Madidi National Park. Madidi National Park: Arrival at the Ecolodge - Welcome aperitif consisting of local natural fruit juices - Accommodation in lodges. Lunch - Local dishes and traditional dishes - Short rest. Walk along the "Dry Creek" trail View a variety of plants to learn about their many uses for medicine, crafts, and building materials - View some species of monkeys, peccaries, birds, and many insects (all subject to seasonal availability). Dinner - Rest for the night. Night walks with great opportunities for sighting nocturnal animals like tarantulas, snakes, monkeys, and insects. (optional activity). Return to the Ecolodge.

Accommodation: Mashaquipe Lodge – Jungle Madidi. Mashaquipe is composed of 5 Eco-lodges, built in the traditional Amazonian community style: wooden or sand floors, walls of palm tree trunks, thatched roofs, and large meshed windows to guarantee freshness, comfort, and keep away insects. Comfortable and elegant rooms: double, triple, or 5-bed dormitories, with shared bathrooms and 2 pavilions with private bathrooms. The outdoor sitting area is equipped with hammocks to enjoy the shade under tall trees.

Caquiahuara Macaw Cliff: Breakfast – with typical local drinks, fruits, and pastries. 3-hour walk to "Caquiahuara Macaw Cliff" - view of parabas in natural nesting habitat from a lookout point, plus tall native trees, and plants to learn about their many uses for medicines, crafts and building materials.
La Paz
Boating at Tuichi River. Tuichi River: Return on foot to the Tuichi River to discover the construction of a "Callapo" log raft: rustic transport of the indigenous people of the Amazon, and travel downstream on the raft to the lodge. Lunch – local dishes and traditional dishes – short rest. Optional afternoon activities: sport fishing, local crafts. Dinner and rest for the night.

Fishing at Yacuma River. Yacuma River: 15-minute boat trip to the Ecolodge – accommodation in lodges, lunch – local dishes and traditional dishes – short rest. Boat trip along the Yacuma River for sport fishing, with high chances of catching piranhas and other native river fish - view caiman, capybara, turtles and many species of birds. Dinner at the Lodge, night boat trip along the Yacuma River - view of Capibara, birds and a great chance to see the caiman's glowing eyes with flashlights.

Accommodation: Tortugas Lodge – Pampa Yacuma. Located in a protected area in the Pampa de Yacuma, this eco lodge in the middle of nature is a peaceful heaven, sitting away from the others. The Eco lodges are turtle-shaped, using the indigenous style and made from local materials. Double or triple rooms- all have private bathrooms.

Boating at Yacuma River. Pampas de Yacuma: Rise early in the morning to enjoy the impressive sunrise and listen to howler monkeys and birds announce the pampas' awakening (optional activity). Breakfast, boat trip along the Yacuma River - great opportunity to swim with the pink river dolphin (season availability) - view of caimans, capybaras, turtles, and local bird species.

Return to Rurrenabaque: Enjoy lunch at the lodge before returning to Rurrenabaque with a 3-hour drive.

The resort also offers a restaurant serving national and international dishes.
