- Gliding silently along the New River, spotting tropical birds through the canopy.
- Walking through centuriesold plazas where history whispers between the ruins.
- Spotting exotic birds and wildlife that vanish if you blink—perfect for photos or awefilled moments.
The journey, in full
This tour starts in Belize City. From here, you are transported to Orange Walk at the New River, which is about an hour's drive. Once we arrive at the landing area, you will be transferred to a boat that will take you to the Mayan Site of Lamanai. Depending on what Mother Nature has to offer, you might get to see wildlife along the river, such as crocodiles, iguanas, a wide variety of birds, and even howler monkeys. Once at the site, lunch will be served. Afterward, a guided tour of Lamanai will be conducted so that you have an opportunity to learn and see the works of the amazing and fascinating Mayan Civilization. You will also get a chance to climb these huge temples on the site. We will then return to the boat to take us back on our return trip to the landing area for the travel back to Belize City.
