Cave Tubing is the most awe-inspiring adventure on the mainland of Belize. Today this tour has become a must-do activity when visiting Belize. You probably have done caving before, or perhaps some river tubing, but to do both simultaneously is incredible! This is exactly what this activity is about.

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
From Belize City, it is an hour drive going west to get to the national park of No’och Che’n to begin cave tubing. Large and spacious changing and restroom facilities are available. Water shoes are highly recommended for a comfortable hike through the rain forest. There are vendors in the park that also rent water shoes if you so desire. When you are through with changing, we provide you with headlights, life jackets and tubes. Before starting the tour, we advise our guests to utilize sunscreen and insect repellent, depending on the weather. Your adventure begins with a thirty minutes hike under the canopy of the rain forest from the park to the entrance of the caves. A trained tour guide will be in your presence to ensure your safety and comfort at all times. Your guide will also be pointing out important plants and trees as you hike along. After arriving at the cave system, you will be asked to wear your life jacket and headlight before sitting on the tubes in the river. The entire party will be attached together whilst on your tubes with ropes to make a tube chain. The water, which has a constant refreshing temperature, allows you to move slowly and in a relaxed position. As you travel down the river through beautiful limestone caves you will get a chance to view the amazing rock formations of stalactites and stalagmites within the cave systems. This experience will be for approximately forty minutes. Thereafter, you will be exiting the cave and doing an additional twenty minutes of open-river tubing as we head back to the starting point culminating this overwhelming adventure tour. This tour is possible in half day but if you also want the Zip-line rush then it becomes an all day tour. A National Geographic Experience uniquely available in Belize for everyone to enjoy.

Meeting & Pickup
We can do pick ups from the municipal airport, the international airport and from the water taxi terminal in Belize City, or from the Fort Street Tourism Village if you are coming on the cruise Ship. If you are coming from a different location, we will be able to pick you up anywhere in Belize City.

We had a great trip! The water was amazing, the ability to swim at the end of the tubing was our kids' favorite part. The hike in was informative and very manageable. We had a little delay with pickup time, but we were also waiting for those that had to get a later tender that were from our ship as well. All in all a great excursion!

Cave Tubing with A plus and Albert. Absolutely perfect! We got off the water taxi and followed the directions on our reservation (make sure you have them printed). Everyone in the terminal was very helpful and we found our driver in no time. While everyone else was fighting with 100 other people to get on huge charter buses, we hopped in a very clean, air conditioned mini van. Just the 3 of us and our driver. It was a little over an hour drive to the rafting location and Albert used the time wisely informing us on everything Belize! It was a very enjoyable ride. Upon arrival at the rafting location, we changed into our water shoes and Albert introduced us to our guide-Artemis. Artemis got us all set up with tubes, helmets, and life jackets. We then walked about 30min to the start of the cave tubing. Definitely not recommended to anyone with trouble walking. Artemis showed us various plants, trees, and animals throughout our walk. Once again it was only the 3 of us! All the other groups had 10-15 people. We saw and heard groups of howler monkeys in the trees-very cool! The water was so refreshing! (To my husband that means COLD! Haha!) it felt SO good! It was 99 degrees out and we were definitely ready to jump in when we arrived! Artemis tied all our tubes together and off we went! It was so relaxing and we just love caves - this really was the perfect excursion for us. It is definitely worth the hour drive and the 30 min walk! Our excursion began at 9am (ship time) and we returned to the port about 1:30pm. Grabbed some lunch at the pier (fish tacos-very good!), some local beers, and then shopped for a bit before returning to the ship. No one else in our party did an excursion here, and they completely regretted it. The port area is pretty pathetic. So if you are headed here-book an excursion!

Albert was an excellent driver to the cave tubing. We had a wonderful time conversing pretty much on our private tour since it was just my wife and I. Cave tubing was awesome with Stephen...again, just the two of us so it was like our own private tour. I recommend asking/paying the extra $5 to have the tubes down at the put in so you don't have to carry it the whole way. It was low water level season so the current was slow. Not a problem because Stephen swam us faster through the slow parts. It was great. Once we were done we felt a little rushed to get back in the van because Albert had another tour to get to unfortunately so we didn't get a chance to eat the yummy food we were smelling. After a brisk drive back, we asked Albert to drop us off somewhere off the beaten path for local food and beer and he delivered. The people were so nice and the food was great! Would totally do that again.

My clients loved this excursion! It was a group of parents and their teen and young adult kids. They were very complimentary of both the drivers and the tour leaders, saying that they were very friendly and knowledgable. The only complaint was from one of the moms that the hike was a little longer than 30 minutes and was harder than she had expected.

Great shore excursion! Albert took us there and gave great history on Belize. Fry Jack did the cave tubing with our group of six and he was amazing! It was a more personal experience than the ship’s offer. We were picked up at the ship port and taken back in time for a bit of shopping. I would recommend this adventure .

Albert, owner and manager, was the perfect host/guide. He gave us all the history of Belize on our trip to the caves. He knows everything you would ever want to know about the region. Our "group" tour ending up being a private tour for the four of us. The tubing portion was excellent and he guided us through the tricky spots with ease. Highly recommended!
