Ghent Beer and Sightseeing Adventure

You will meet up with your guide at Saint Bavo Cathedral, home to the famous painting van Van Eyck "The Mystic Lamb". After a brief historical introduction about the Cathedral and Belfree we will pay a visit at one of the best chocolate factories of Ghent. You will experience 3 chocolate tastings along with an explaination about chocolate making. After the chocolate we are invited at the Stadsbrouwerij of Ghent; one of the three remaining breweries in the center. of Ghent. The beers in Ghent are unique because some are made with Gruut instead of Hops. With the 3 beer tastings and snacks you will have a nice introduction of the beer culture of Ghent. Then will continue our historical walk to the old port where we will take a boatride on the canals: see the main sights including the famous Castle of the Counts of Flanders. After the boat we taste a geneva gin, the other specilaity of Ghent along with some cuberdons. Finally the tour will finish with two more beer tastings with additional snacks. This tour will give you an overview of what Ghent has to offer.
