The Experience

What your day looks like

Hop on our shuttle and enjoy a short drive through the capital, Bridgetown, to the dock. Board our vessel, Tranquility Cruises, with ease and join us for a 1.5-hour Turtle & Shipwreck adventure in Carlisle Bay. Carlisle Bay boasts calm turquoise waters lapping against soft white sand. Beneath the surface, the bay comes alive with abundant tropical fish, seahorses, sea turtles, octopuses, rays, and more. This unique array of marine life is due in part to six different shipwrecks resting in waters as shallow as 12 feet. After the snorkeling excursion, you will be taken to Savvy On The Bay at Carlisle Bay, where you will be provided with a beach lounger, umbrella, and a welcome drink. Soak in the sea or relax on your lounger while enjoying the sunshine. It is the perfect way to spend a day in Barbados. Lunch is not included but is available for purchase at the beach bar. The 8:45 a.m. pickup has a 2:00 p.m. departure time, the 10:00 a.m. pickup has a 3:15 p.m. departure time, and the 10:45/11:00 a.m. pickup has a 4:20 p.m. departure time. Customers wishing to stay longer at the beach club may do so and make their own way back to the port. For those choosing to return independently at a later time, most taxis charge a per-person fee.

Carlisle Bay Carlisle Bay is named after the Earl of Carlisle, who took Barbados from Sir William Courteen during the Great Barbados Robbery. Today, Carlisle Bay features the whitest sand in Barbados and the most brilliant turquoise sea. The Carlisle Bay Marine Park contains six shipwrecks in close proximity, supporting a diverse range of colourful marine life, including turtles, starfish, sand dollars, rays, and more. Tranquility Cruises Join us aboard Tranquillity Cruises. The boat features two washrooms on board, a bar, and both upper and lower decks with ample seating. A glass-bottom area is available for guests who prefer to stay on board and enjoy the views below. Tranquillity is equipped with life vests, snorkels, and masks for those who wish to explore a shipwreck or swim with turtles and fish. An added treat for children is the boat’s waterslide. The Turtle and Shipwreck Cruise lasts 70 minutes and departs from Carlisle Bay, a crescent-shaped bay located on the southwest coast.
