See the sights of Salzburg on a full-day tour from Vienna, with optional drop offs for those who want to stay the night. Traveling in small groups of no more than 8 people, our intimate tour will take you through the breathtaking scenery of the Vienna Woods, with the peaks of the Alps in the distance, and on to the stunning Austrian lake district. Stop where the big tour buses only drive by: dip your toes in crystal-clear Lake Attersee and take a stroll around the lakeside village of St. Gilgen at lake Wolfgangsee, a famous location in the movie "The Sound of Music." Discover Salzburg's lovely Old Town with your guide on a comprehensive walking tour. The scenic ride was enjoyed. The guide was knowledgeable, but too much free time in Salzburg. Expected more of a guided tour. More than just the garden and the cemetery. Only so much time can be spent dining and shopping. Would of like to learn more of the design of the city both modern and historic. I enjoyed the markets. Would have liked to learn more of the typical foods displayed and if native to Salzburg.

Overall very good. The guide was very passionate about the history and it was very interesting , however, the only feedback I would have the comes to mind maybe too much on the history and battles etc and maybe not enough about modern day Salzburg.
