The Experience
What your day looks like
Learn how to prepare an original Austrian apple strudel. During this class, you will be guided by your experienced chef. Each class will have a maximum of 15 people, and be broken down further into tables of 3 to 5 people. You will be asked to fully partake in all the stages of preparation. Activities such as marinating the apples and stretching out the pastry can be a lot of fun, and the whole experience of making the strudel is guaranteed to be as rewarding as enjoying the final outcome itself. Additional to the Apple Strudel program, participants have the chance to try their hands on to one of the most famous and spectacular Dessert in Salzburg - the Salzburger Nockerl. In order not to spoil the surprise, we can only tell you this much - it will be a lot of fun. The program includes lunch with a traditional goulasch soup which will be served before you get our oven cooked creations.

During the months of November and December, we don’t do Salzburger Nockerl at our regular groups, instead we make Christmas cookies but the rest of the class stays the same as booked (guests still make Strudel and get lunch etc.).

I am always looking for amazing experiences that my family will love and where we are able to immerse ourselves into the local traditions and culture of an area. This is definitely one of them! We signed up for the Apple Studel & Nockerl Cooking class with lunch. Everything we made was absolutely delicious and we loved the goulash soup Johann served for lunch. No one left hungry! I loved how Johann had everything prepped and ready for the class making it simple, enjoyable, and kid-friendly. The intimate location and setting just made it a great experience. I would highly recommend Edelweiss Cooking School to any of my clients and visitors in Salzburg.
