What your day looks like

Enjoy a magical sunrise at Uluru with a light breakfast, tea and coffee. In the morning light be led by your guide into the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Be shown by your friendly guide how to ride a Segway and test your skills over our Segway training course. Once the group is confident riding a Segway, then travel the full base of Uluru with your guide. You'll stop to learn about ancient Aboriginal culture, fascinating history and incredible nature and geology. There'll also be plenty of photo stops.

Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

This tour begins with a complimentary transfer from hotels within Ayers Rock Resort to Uluru to our sunrise viewing location where you'll enjoy a magical sunrise with a light breakfast. Once the sun is up, it's time to get rolling. Your guide will provide you with Segway training. Once everyone feels comfortable on their Segway we’ll begin our Segway journey around Uluru. You’ll cruise effortlessly on your Segway around the full base of Uluru. This usually takes 2 hours as your guide will stop frequently for photos and interpretative talks about local Aboriginal culture, flora, fauna, geology and history. After Segway-ing the entire base you'll be led by your guide on foot to visit the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can view ancient Aboriginal rock art. Afterwards, enjoy worry-free transfers by bus back to your hotel within Ayers Rock Resort. *Please note airport transfers direct from tour are available for $30 per person. Please request this at the time of booking

What to Bring

Bring 1L of water per person Guests must be wearing closed-toe shoes to participate Bring your national park entry ticket, or credit card to purchase one During the months of May – September the mornings can be a bit chilly. Be sure to wear some warm clothing and a pair of gloves

Restrictions

- Travellers must weigh between 45-117kg (99lbs - 260lbs). - Travellers below the age of 12 years old are not able to participate. - Those aged 12-17 years must be accompanied by an adult. - Travellers above the age of 65 years old are discouraged from joining this tour due to increased risk in the event of a fall. - Not suitable for pregnant travellers.

Meeting & Pickup

Pick up approximately 60 minutes before sunrise Pick ups can be at either: - Desert Gardens Hotel (for those staying at either Desert Gardens or Emu Walk apartments) - Sails in the Desert Hotel (for those staying at either Sails in the Desert or The Lost Camel hotel) - Ayers Rock Resort Campgrounds - bus stop on the main ring road - Outback Pioneer Hotel.
