This Red Centre overnight escape is an introduction to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, guests will sleep on the ground outdoors under the stars. Finishes in Yulara / Ayers Rock on day 2 of the trip. Embark on a thrilling small group adventure, offering an unforgettable introduction to the captivating Red Centre. Over the course of two days, immerse yourself in the natural wonders of two iconic locations, Uluru and Kata Tjuta, thoughtfully combined into one extraordinary tour. As you journey through the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, your expert local guide will share insightful commentary, intriguing stories, and hidden gems, breathing life into the Red Centre's secrets. We have comfortable twin permanent safari tents providing a little more comfort, privacy, and security, or you can try out a traditional swag experience (canvas-covered bedroll).

Day 1
Alice Springs
Cultural Immersion. Alice Springs to Uluru / Ayers Rock Leaving Alice Springs early, we travel towards Uluru, stopping at Mt Connor (false Uluru) lookout and Curtin Springs for a toilet break before getting to our campground for lunch. You can also opt for a complimentary pick-up service from Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Campground, where your outback adventure begins. Prepare to be awe-struck by the heart of the Red Centre and region-rich heritage and Aboriginal significance which you will learn more about at the interpretive cultural centre.

Nature Walks at Mutitjulu. Get up close and personal with Uluru, the colossal monolith, as you embark on a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, discovering sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories.

Eco Tour at Kantju Gorge. Explore the remarkable Kantju Gorge, home to Central Australia's highest waterfall and an elders' cave, ending your day with a mesmerizing sunset at Uluru lookout, accompanied by a hearty dinner.

Uluru National Park to Kata Tjuta Rise early and savor a light breakfast as you venture towards a captivating sunrise in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Witness the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta, a remarkable sight to behold. Embark on an invigorating hike through the awe-inspiring Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, marveling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations.

Leisure. Conclude your exploration of Kata Tjuta, and head back to Yulara Airport to either meet your adjoining flight (or feel free to add an additional night's stay at our safari camp for an extra fee)

Sleeping bags can be hired from us onboard. You are more than welcome to bring your own. Any meals not indicated within the itinerary. For those with special dietaries, we recommend you bring snacks as options are limited in the outback. Hotel transfers pre/post tour itinerary to a nominated pickup point. Personal travel insurance is highly recommended Personal expenses

Restrictions
Children aged between 8 to 17 years old, must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under. Limited storage space on our vehicle, baggage kept to 1 x 15kg travel bag, 1 x 5kg day bag.
