The journey, in full
Be met at your hotel by your expert host for a 2/3 pm start. The drive out from Melbourne is a great chance to share some of your tastes and interests so these can be made a feature of your uniquely tailored experience. Sit back and get to know your host in a luxury touring vehicle equipped with wi-fi, water and a selection of Victorian treats. En-route to Phillip Island, stop for a selfie with a koala at a local wildlife sanctuary. Visit a few of the island’s beautiful natural attractions like The Nobbies or Pyramid Rocks. Your host will help you spot local wallabies and endemic bird species unique to the area. During the cooler months, the penguins arrive earlier in the evening and typically, we would visit before dinner. We will make sure to reach the penguins in time for you to take your place in the premium viewing area (subject to availability) to experience this marvelous natural wonder up close. After you have admired the penguins, take time to walk the boardwalks and hear from naturalist guides about this curious and memorable phenomenon. Enjoy a lovely meal in a charming seaside restaurant boasting plenty of delicious local fare (not included). In the summertime, we are able to arrange a classic seaside BBQ (weather permitting) before visiting the penguins. Your host will have you back in Melbourne by 10 pm (Winter) or midnight (Summer).
