Litchfield National Park Day Tour

The journey, in full

After your pickup, we travel south along the Stuart Highway towards Litchfield National Park. As we enter the park, you will get your first glimpse of the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds. Throughout the day, your guide will share their knowledge about the termites' role in our unique tropical ecosystem and the formation of the mounds themselves. Heading further into the park, we travel up onto the Table Top Range and visit Florence Falls and Buley Rockhole, where you will have the option to swim in their adjacent fresh, cool, plunge pools and walk along the Shady Creek Walk through the monsoon forest. The scenic viewing platform high above Florence Falls provides great photo opportunities of the falls and the waterhole below, while at Buley Rockhole, you can sit, relax, and let the water flow past you, while enjoying the scenic bush surrounds. Our next stop is Wangi Falls, another opportunity to swim in the crisp, clean Territory waters. Take a dip in the tranquil plunge pool below the falls, or follow the 800m loop walk through the surrounding monsoon forest. Swimming and walking are subject to seasonal conditions. After your tour, we will drop you off back in Darwin.
