The journey, in full
Get an early start to the day on your Hunter Valley private wine tour when your own personal tour guide and vehicle will meet you at your hotel at 7.45am. Yes, it’s early, but there’s a full day of wine tasting, gourmet food and stunning scenery ahead! Heading out of the hustle and bustle of metro Sydney, you will travel up through the stunning Hawkesbury River region. Cross over the Mooney Mooney Bridge for wonderful views of this pristine area which is famous for its oysters and river communities. Stopping for a quick coffee or snack along the way, then it’s on to the first winery of the day to sample up to 10 varieties of the locally grown wines. Winery number two is another stunning establishment where you will enjoy the locally produce Shiraz and Semillion, just two of the many varieties you’ll sample at this exquisite boutique winery. Lunch is calling, and it’s time to take a break from the wine as you sit down to enjoy a delicious cafe-style lunch at the most popular eatery in town, the Oaks Bistro. The day is not yet done, as we head off to our third winery of the day. Another very different and beautiful family owned winery set in this stunning valley. Try some award winning and limited edition wines, and then try to pick your favorite of the day! Last opportunity to capture a few more pictures then it’s back on board to relax on the journey back to Sydney. Be sure to keep your eye out for the wild kangaroos which populate the area, especially in winter time. You will end your Hunter Valley private wine tour back where you started, back at your hotel, by around 5.30pm.

What travelers are saying
Enjoyed the wineries and tastings very much.
Glenn was terrific and the wineries were welcoming, generous, and very enjoyable despite the overcast weather. That said, it was a VERY long day from Sydney and probably would not choose it again for that reason.
Jen was a terrific guide and helped us to a wonderful day!
