Other than an experience of a lifetime, you will see some of the most picturesque scenery North Queensland has to offer. While on tour, you may encounter the unique marine life of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, including: - Turtles - Dolphins - Dugongs - Whales - Many other forms of aquatic marine life Begin your journey by departing the Townsville Breakwater Marina and travelling across Platypus Channel, the entrance to the Port of Townsville. This busy waterway supports cattle, sugar, cargo vessels, international cruise ships, and naval operations. Once back in the open ocean, you'll discover the beautiful estuary where the ranges meet the Cape. This spectacular coastline is home to private residences, sandy beaches, and underwater reef structures, with many areas only accessible by water. At Cape Cleveland, you'll visit a secluded sandy beach surrounded by turquoise waters. This location is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and taking in the underwater reef structure. Upon reaching Lighthouse Beach, you'll ascend to Cape Cleveland Lighthouse, where you'll pause to admire the breathtaking views across the pristine waters and rugged coastline of Cape Bowling Green. At the summit, you can explore the Cape Cleveland Lighthouse, observe large numbers of sea turtles from the viewing platform, and relax in the original homestead while enjoying a cold beverage, morning tea, brunch, or afternoon tea. Step back in time as you explore the museum, which houses artifacts collected from the local area over many years. You'll also discover memoirs from the families who cared for Cape Cleveland Lighthouse throughout the centuries before finishing with a photo opportunity and some time in the famous thinking chair. Afterwards, you'll return to the secluded beach where your personal jet ski awaits for the ride back across Cleveland Bay, enjoying views of Magnetic Island on your return journey to Townsville. Our tours cater to each guest's preferences. If you'd like a slower-paced experience with multiple photo stops, your guide will happily accommodate. Restrictions
- All customers must be able to understand English, as they are required to demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of the safety briefing and the operational instructions, including the practical operation of the jet ski. - All customers must demonstrate a minimum level of fitness; you must be able to tread water while wearing a life jacket in the event you are separated from the jet ski. - Jet ski tours and hires are adventure activities that can involve inherent risks. Poseidon Jet Ski Tours maintains high safety standards, trained guides, and established safety procedures, but risks cannot be eliminated. - All participants must sign a Liability Release & Safety Waiver before participating. - Participants must notify staff of any pre-existing medical conditions that could affect their ability to participate safely. Participants must understand and follow all safety briefings and instructions in English. - Minimum Driver Age: 16 years. - Drivers under 18 must have a guardian sign the waiver on their behalf. - Drivers under 18 cannot carry another passenger under 18; they may only ride solo or with a passenger aged 18 or older. - Minimum Passenger Age: 7 years. - Operation Limits: Watercraft must not be operated under the influence of alcohol or judgment-impairing substances. They must follow all rules provided by Poseidon Jet Ski Tours - Maximum individual weight: 130 kg - Maximum combined (tandem) capacity: 200 kg (inclusive of riders and any items) - Guided group formation with safe following distances - Speed is moderated for conditions, zones, and rider ability - Clear hand signals and radio guidance (where applicable) - Mandatory life jackets at all times
